Chivas: The Lost Episode
Before we officially began the Chivas life, Chivas treated us and a bus full of Argentine models to a weekend of partying in Punta del Este, Uruguay. With miles of undeveloped beaches and chic restaurants, Punta is a veritable playground for Argentina's wealthy and surgically-enhanced.
The excuse for all the partying was the "Chivas Life Series", a boating race from the main port to a nearby island. For better or worse, the weather didn't cooperate and most of the racing was abandoned for a little more time at the pool. The connoisseur of the Chivas life, we quickly learned, doesn't stress about things like weather and itineraries.
Dinner in Punta usually began after midnight - most restaurants didn't even open until 11pm, and you certainly didn't want to be seen with the early-bird crowd. (By comparison, a restaurant up the road from my mom's house in Florida begins serving dinner at 2:30pm). Dana and I reached a milestone one night when our dessert was finally finished at 2:15am. Then, of course, we had to go to a dance club with the Chivas executives, who seem to have some of the greatest jobs in the world.
A handful of photos from our trip can be found in the link to the right.
