Getting older in Argentina

We may still have a living room full of Ikea furniture, but there are a few things in my life that tell me my tastes are changing. For one, whenever I'm going to travel somewhere new, I'm far more likely to look for restaurant tips in the travel pages of the New York Times than the "Budget Eats" section of a Lonely Planet guidebook.

Another thing I do is take pictures of food. If anyone else does this, please tell me so I don't feel quite so weird about it. The salad above was consumed on our recent trip to Mendoza, Argentina's spectacular and underpopulated answer to Napa Valley. We posted some photos from our trip and first few months in Argentina at right.
